The Republic of Serbia is located in southeastern Europe. It shares borders with Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia. Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, and is situated on the banks of the river Danube. Has a varied and checkered past, is under administration of the European superpower for years.
Belgrade had never really directed itself to tourism, and its population is not too diverse, with only a small number of minority cultures have a place in society.
Moving around Belgrade is easy, and bus routes may be the cheapest and most reliable to do so, beware of the taxis – they seem to want to charge as much as they can in Belgrade, and can turn into an expensive business for tourists.
There are many museums in Belgrade, including the National Museum, which has nearly half a million items on the screen. Kalemegdan Fortress

Here, among the Orthodox churches and museums, we should not miss the visit to Kalemegdan fortress city overlooking the city with centuries of history.
Beyond the walls of this citadel are the remains of many peoples: Celts, Avars, Huns, Greeks, Romans, Hungarians, Germans, Turks and Slavs several. Especially the Turks have made their mark here as occupied Serbia for nothing more and nothing less than 5 centuries (until 1878), and they called this city among rocks sign Bair hill of reflection, because from here the visitor can reflect the history of the city of Belgrade.

Here used to be the Academy of Fine Arts, established in 1937, and now there is the Gallery of the Academy.
THE BLOCK OF URBAN HOUSES, Knez Mihailova 50, 48 and 46, built in 1870s, represented the beginning of discontinuity of traditional “Balkan” architecture. All those buildings have been shaped in the same manner, a transitional style from Romantisme to renaissance. The block consists of three buildings:
The House of Hristina KUMANUDI, No. 50, was built in 1870 as a corner building at the intersection of Kneza Mihaila and Dubrovačka streets.
