Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, and is situated on the banks of the river Danube. Has a varied and checkered past, is under administration of the European superpower for years.
Belgrade had never really directed itself to tourism, and its population is not too diverse, with only a small number of minority cultures have a place in society.
Moving around Belgrade is easy, and bus routes may be the cheapest and most reliable to do so, beware of the taxis – they seem to want to charge as much as they can in Belgrade, and can turn into an expensive business for tourists.
There are many museums in Belgrade, including the National Museum, which has nearly half a million items on the screen. There are also religious buildings like the Cathedral, and the exhibition commemorating some of the most beloved serbia historical figures such as Tito and Telsa. (more…)
