The most interesting place is undoubtedly the capital, Belgrade, a resilient, energetic city. Culture fans can enjoy the architecture and museums, foodies in the restaurant, while party animals will not get the breaks ceaselessly explore the night life.

Flat plains of Vojvodina and Gora monasteries quietly giving Fruska effective antidote to urban chaos, while Novi Sad is home to world famous music festival Exit. Proud and traditional Southern Serbia is arable land hills and valleys of brushing against the forested mountains. The monasteries of medieval Manasija, Sopoćani and still guard the faith Studenica Serbia and Byzantine art, while the mountains Zlatibor and Kopaonik give pleasure snow in winter and hiking in the glorious summer. Mosque along with the monasteries in Novi Pazar, where life in the Turkish quarter continued much as it did a century ago when Turkey was still in power.

Located a few kilometers south of Kosovo, a land dispute split by different interpretations of history. For the Serbs it is the cradle of their nationhood, Kosovo Albanians are their future independence. The UN still recognizes Kosovo as part of Serbia until now talks to decide its future.

Part of the Balkan Peninsula, Bulgaria is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. This is a small country, and has a varied and beautiful scenery includes a ski resort and the Black Sea coast extends about two hundred miles between Romania and Turkey.

Bulgaria has land borders with Greece, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, Romania, and Turkey. The climate is temperate, humid winters and dry, hot summers. Natural hazards including the possibility of landslides and earthquakes.

Largest and most advanced of the Bulgarian ski resort is Bansko. This has legs recently held European Ski Championships, and the ski facilities and state of the art both much broader than in the smaller resort Borovetz and Pamporovo.

Bulgaria now has a free market economy. Especially agriculture, this country is an exporter of vegetables, fruits, wine, and tobacco. It is also quite popular with the yogurt. After a setback in 1996, the economy has grown in recent years. EU report in 2002 said it is likely to continue, but at a slower rate to a near 6 percent achieved in 2000.

This identifies the main problem for the Bulgarian economy of high public debt, high unemployment, and low domestic investment. However, the Bulgarian government’s commitment to tight fiscal control and structural reforms would open the opportunity for strong growth in the coming years, it concluded.

At the beginning of the year 2007 given the membership of Bulgaria to the European Union, because when the economy has received a healthy increase significantly.

Property prices are still quite low but has increased rapidly in recent times. The International Real Estate Federation put the December 2004 average price of residential property at 6650 pounds per square foot in London but only £ 280 in the Bulgarian capital of Sophia. Black Sea resort properties came in between 105 pounds and 350 pounds per square meter while the average annual price increases put in 23 per cent.

In order to have the land and apartments that sit on top of that, foreigners can buy property through a non-trading shell company. The cost to establish such a company is about ive hundred Euros. Purchase of property taxes much more attractive for a buy to let investors than in most other countries. Total cost of purchase was 2.34 percent of the property (compared with a higher percentage in France, Italy, Spain etc.) This includes 2.34 percent of notary fees, local taxes (stamp duty) and land tax. Attorney fees cost in the region of 1300 euros.

The process usually involves the purchase of an initial deposit followed by exchange of contracts and payment of further deposits between ten and twenty percent. Transfer of this document and signed in front of the Notary Bulgaria (this can be done outside the country at the Embassy of Bulgaria).

Notary Fees paid at a higher scale based on market price or book value of assets at rates different. The maximum is £ 1225. In addition, two percent of the market value of the property must be paid to local governments.

Net rental income, after expenses and taxes of the city, imposed a ten percent reduction. Net amount to be returned by the owners of property abroad, subject to the presentation of certificates confirming the tax has been paid. Realized capital gains are treated as income. 0.15 Local annual property taxes that states the value of property – tax estimation price is that written in the deed transfer but very often lower than the actual purchase price.

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, and is situated on the banks of the river Danube. Has a varied and checkered past, is under administration of the European superpower for years.

Belgrade had never really directed itself to tourism, and its population is not too diverse, with only a small number of minority cultures have a place in society.

Moving around Belgrade is easy, and bus routes may be the cheapest and most reliable to do so, beware of the taxis – they seem to want to charge as much as they can in Belgrade, and can turn into an expensive business for tourists.

There are many museums in Belgrade, including the National Museum, which has nearly half a million items on the screen. There are also religious buildings like the Cathedral, and the exhibition commemorating some of the most beloved serbia historical figures such as Tito and Telsa.
For the day you can combine the culture of public observatory with a telescope with a 4 night at the National Theater where you can watch ballet or opera.

Serbian food consists of ham and sausage, accompanied by bread and locally produced cheeses, along with fresh organic vegetables. Eating out is very reasonable compared to Western Europe, and because the national love of beer, you’ll always find something cheap and cheerful to wash down with! Local wines become more popular with the younger Serbia lot.

The weekend offers a chance to experience the night life that was discovered in Belgrade, and one that is becoming increasingly popular for a short break due to the availability of cheap flights there.

Accommodation is basic in many cases, but always acceptable for the price charged is not too much.
A tourist can be a fun filled, and a few days quite cheap in Belgrade.

2. Avala TV tower – is one of the places popular in the seventies and eighties, and it was destroyed by NATO bombing of Serbia in 1999. I do not want to write here about Belgrade accommodation so if you want to know more about hotels in Belgrade, Belgrade apartment, or if you need a guide for Belgrade please visit some of these pages.

5. Townhouse 27 – a new boutique hotel opened in the city center. The place was very romantic and especially suitable for night Honeymoons and I had to check my friends who are interested in the topic:)

6. Usce Delta town and shopping center, Belgrade - either I can easily find a reason to visit one of the two largest shopping center in Belgrade – these are some of the coolest places to shop, especially now with all the discounts that I always wanted to stay longer . ..

There are many places where significant historical, natural untouched, spas, rivers, caves, ski resorts, a world heritage protected by UNESCO. In every part of Serbia, you will find places that you visit if you want to travel to Serbia.

Nature holidays, that means outdoor activities. No matter where you spend your vacation in Serbia, sports lovers can take part in nature activities such as tracking, mountain biking, horseback, or guided hiking tours through the magnificent mountains in the east and south-western Serbia. Tara National Park with untouched nature is ideal for people who want to enjoy the stunning scenery scouts. Most of them can be accessed by the treatment. The most spectacular is the Biljeska Stena.

Many rare bird species living in Uvac River Canyon. The most impressive is the griffin vulture. Seeing them in their natural habitat is unforgettable. For every season there are outdoor activities accordingly. In the winter snow activities serbia offer. There are several ski resorts. The most famous is the Kopaonik – the highest mountain in Serbia. There was snow from December until April.

One is Zlatibor, who did not have a professional ski tracks like Kopaonik, but offers stunning scenery and interesting places to visit – the caves, monasteries, waterfalls, a train museum. Since 2008, there is a new ski resort in Serbia – Stara Planina. This is not finished. At the moment there is only one ski track, but a lot of songs and hotels are under construction for several years so it will be the most popular ski center in Serbia because of the beauty of Stara Planina Mountain.

There are 2 airports: the city of Belgrade and Nis (220 km from Belgrade, and 80 km from the Bulgarian border). The best season to visit Serbia for outdoor activities summer is April-September, for winter activities from December to March.

It is also the longest in the European Union -2.860 kilometers and one of the longest in Europe, only surpassed by the Volga. This long European river crosses the territory of ten countries, where they take a different name.

In Germany it is known as Donau, Duna in Hungary, Croatia and Dunav in Eslovania as Donavan, Czech Republic Dunai and other variants as in Bulgaria, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania and Russia. The list extends even further if we add those countries that receive the drainage basin of the Danube, these countries are Italy, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Republic of Macedonia and Albania.

It is thought that its name comes from the Celtic Danu “, which means flying. There is another theory which postulates that the root of the name comes from an Iranian word which has helped to give names to other rivers that flow into the Dead Sea, such as the Don, the Donetsk, the Dnieper and the Dniester.

The Danube is formed by the union of German rivers and Breg Brigach the height of the town Donaueschingen. From the German Black Forest and is known as the Danube and covers several countries in Central and Eastern Europe before emptying into the Black Sea through the Danube Delta, shared by Romania and Ukraine.

The importance of the Danube in the story starts about 3000 BC ago, when he was the ideal place for cultures to be developed as Vucedol and Vinka. He then served as a frontier of the Roman Empire around 200 AD We also used various Germanic tribes attacked Rome. Also of significance during the Crusades, be an important avenue to quickly reach the Holy Land.

In modern times has often played the dominance over the river, however, has managed to avoid this by agreements signed by member countries of the ICPD, the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube.

This organization was founded in 1998 with the aim to protect, promote and coordinate sustainable and equitable water management, including conservation, improvement and rational use for the benefit of countries and peoples who are part of the Danube. However, treaties that have preserved the integrity of the river back to the Treaty of Paris in 1856, the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, among others.

The Danube is a source of drinking water for about ten million people, also works as a commercial transportation route of the European Union and is forced route for tourists visiting the old continent.

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia and is a beautiful city with ancient architecture, one of the most special places in Eastern Europe. Here, among the Orthodox churches and museums, we should not miss the visit to Kalemegdan fortress city overlooking the city with centuries of history.

Beyond the walls of this citadel are the remains of many peoples: Celts, Avars, Huns, Greeks, Romans, Hungarians, Germans, Turks and Slavs several. Especially the Turks have made their mark here as occupied Serbia for nothing more and nothing less than 5 centuries (until 1878), and they called this city among rocks sign Bair hill of reflection, because from here the visitor can reflect the history of the city of Belgrade.

The Celts for its part the Singidunum baptized, and since she runs the old part of town with its picturesque streets, pedestrians to stroll and its central streets where we see the Serbs go from here to there on weekdays. Across the 7 bridges called the city we see that expands across the Danube and Sava rivers and is the new part of the same, which is the hotels brand stores, banks and certainly our own hotel or hostel if decided to travel.

If we follow the Danube, we came to the part of the city that was the border between the Turkish and Austro-Hungarian Empire and the exact spot where it just begins in Eastern Europe and Central Europe. Well, you know, if you go to Belgrade you climb to the top of the Kalemegdan Fortress and enjoy the ruins, the old skating rink, tanks and other weapons of World War II. You’ll have the best views of the city and two rivers.

STOJANOVIĆ MARKO’S HOUSE, Knez Mihailova 53-55, about 1889 built as a private home of the lawyer Marko Stojanović, in the renaissance style. Here used to be the Academy of Fine Arts, established in 1937, and now there is the Gallery of the Academy.

THE BLOCK OF URBAN HOUSES, Knez Mihailova 50, 48 and 46, built in 1870s, represented the beginning of discontinuity of traditional “Balkan” architecture. All those buildings have been shaped in the same manner, a transitional style from Romantisme to renaissance. The block consists of three buildings:

The House of Hristina KUMANUDI, No. 50, was built in 1870 as a corner building at the intersection of Kneza Mihaila and Dubrovačka streets. For A Certain Period, this building was the residence of the Ffrench-Serbian Bank, and later of the consulates of Belgium and Great Britain.KRISTINA Mehan, No. 48, built in 1869 as an administrative-commercial building in Krstić Which brothers have opened a hotel under the same name, and where the meetings of the City Assembly took place until the construction of the Assembly’s building.

Veljko SAVIVĆ’S HOUSE, No. 46, built in 1869 as a residential house with shops. It went under many changes of its original look.

THE BUILDING OF THE SERBIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS, Knez Mihailova 35, built in 1923-1924, by the plans of 1912 made by Dragutin Đorđević and Andra Stevanović, in style of academism with elements of secession. The building houses: the Library of the Academy, one of the Richest in Belgrade, The Archive of the Academy with numerous materials about the history of Serbia, the Gallery of the Academy on the ground floor, with a special lecture hall, the bookstore and the antique shop.

Avenue pedestrian Kneza Mihaila (also written as Knez Mihailova), always lively with pedestrians, is one of the oldest, with bourgeois mansions 1880. It was the center of the city in Roman times, and during the Ottoman Empire wore a myriad of gardens, fountains and mosques. Today it is the main commercial city. In sections 6 and 42 you will find crafts and souvenirs.Near the source of the Soldiers in the street Last Jaksic, rested a source who was part of a Turkish monument pulled by the Serbs after their release.

The street leads to the Place de la Republique, the social center of Belgrade, surrounded by cafes and festive atmosphere at night, when there are usually performances. Here is the National Theater and National Museum (0.56 e), with a good collection of European art.

If you love literature visit the house of Ivo Andric Nobel Serbian in the street that bears his name. At the end of the road a monument recalls the great writer.

It is a pedestrian zone and shopping center – protected by law as one of the oldest and most valuable monumental complexes of the city, with a large number of representative buildings and urban houses built at the end of 1870s.

It is thought that in as early as the Roman times there was the center of the Singidunum settlement. In this area, at the time of Turks, there were winding streets with gardens, drinking-fountains and mosques. In the middle nineteenth century, in the upper part of the street was the garden of Knez Aleksandar Karađorđević.

After the making of the regulation plan of Belgrade in 1867, by Emilija Josimović, the street has soon been built and gained its physionomy and content. The houses have been built there and the most influential and wealthiest families of the commercial and political society of Belgrade have come to live there. In 1870, the City Authorities officially gave a name to this street – Ulica Kneza Mihaila.

THE “SRPSKA Kruna” HOTEL, Knez Mihailova 56, was built in 1869 in the style of Romantisme, as a most modern hotel of Belgrade. Between 1945 and 1970 the National Library of Serbia was located in this building, and now there is the Library of the City of Belgrade.
