River DanubePlanning a tour of the Danube River for your next vacation is almost given. This is a big goal and will allow you to see many great places in Eastern Europe. Stretching from Germany to the Black Sea, there are more than enough here to make you wonder.

Danube typical tour will begin near Munich, Germany with a boarding house in Passau near the Austrian border. In Austria a popular stop on the tour in Melk to the Benedictine monastery more than 900 years. Next is Vienna, the capital of Austria. Here you can visit the Hofburg Palace or Opera House. Be sure to capture the spectacular scenery as you pass the Wachau Valley.

Only in the Austrian Danube border runs straight through Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Here you will find that a visit to the Old Town and Bratislava Castle in the sequence. Also do not miss the ruins of Devin Castle. You can visit here, while in Bratislava and you will pass the ruins as you cruise by on the River Danube.

Serbia were part of former Yugoslavia until 2006 and was a two-state corporation comprising four political units: two republics, each with its own capital (Serbia-Montenegro-Belgrade and Podgorica) and two subordinate provinces (Vojvodina and Kosovo).
