4- Always search for a hostel, sharing an apartment for a month and trains as lodging

In Mexico, although there is in many tourist hostels, this hostel is not within the culture of travel. Many young people wishing to travel even know that there is a chance the famous hostels or Bed and Breakfast.

Hostels. The hostel is the cheapest way there, because normally costs between 12 and 20 dollars a night. Of course, you share room with other people (sometimes four, sometimes three, sometimes six) and have a free breakfast (juice, cereal, milk, bread with butter and jam, fruit, chocolate, coffee, etc..), Although London for many hostels do not include breakfast (it should be noted that London is an exception in many cases).

There are separate hostels and guest houses belonging to two global organizations: Hostelling International and Hostels of Europe. These global organizations maintain a level of quality in almost all hostels within them. This means that if you get to a hostel of some of them, in the country it is, even Mexico, it will have good services. Clean rooms, security (although one must take precautions), clean bathrooms (which I had in Paris was very good and the shower was in my own room), Internet, bar, reading rooms, smoking, large kitchen, spots rest, information, telephones, etc.. This requires you to buy a card from some of these associations at any travel agency. This card is not expensive and includes a book with all the hostels that are in the world (the organization that you join) and a notebook with bonuses and discounts for museums, restaurants, etc..A lot of hostels have websites, so you can find the hostel closest to your needs. And you must take into account that even you stay in hostels. The hostel will save you much money, will give you the opportunity to make friends, share tips with other travelers and coexisting with other cultures or find countrymen or people who speak Castilian.

Personally, when I was in the hostels, saw Danish families traveling together (from grandma to the youngest grandson) and I wondered why we had not built in a deeper way this form of travel in Mexico, which is less likely economic Denmark. Even many American families often travel this way.

In fact, group travel in Europe is also a saving, because there are discounts in hostels (also on trains) and also have the possibility to sleep with acquaintances in the same room.

One important thing with respect to hostels, is looking for one that is near a supermarket and a subway station. So you buy your food without having to load long distances and build the kitchen of the hostel. And for subway, well, usually, after a long day of walking is not very pleasant to walk still for several minutes to get to the hostel for a rest.

Share department. There is another option: if you know someone who studies a doctorate or master, ask him for a month, you share a portion of the costs of rent and take as a reference and for touring the city.

For example, if you know someone in Madrid with whom to share the floor one or two months (the cheapest cost you between 250 and 300 euros per month approx.), Hence you move to other cities by train or plane (when I I was in Madrid, I discovered that he had offers from a weekend in London, round trip tickets with two nights hotel, very cheap).

This option can be attractive if the journey will be long. In this case, it better be in a city with many attractions, to which one wants to know and enjoy slowly. Madrid is a good example, because a city is cheap (much cheaper than Paris) but beautiful and with many attractions, and there one move to Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, Seville, etc. .. In the case of Spain, one can mention that there are many Mexican students in the summer accept that others share their story in July and August.

Trains (there are different types of rail passes, some include five countries, more. They can be for different days, weeks, etc.. Any travel agent can give you a detailed brochure or you can search the Internet with the key to analyze what kind Eurailpass Pass is more suited to your needs and economy). Making your rail pass for sleeping. Sometimes, to save, you can use the train by way of hostel, as you move from one city to another.

Traveling at night is the most recommended, except in certain routes where the landscape can be very beautiful (in Switzerland, for example). Trains normally more desirable, making trips within a single country are the Intercity. The Intercity Germans are amazing and very comfortable. Also trains are Dutchmen.

Now how to solve what the comforting shower? At some stations there are public showers. The quality varies greatly from one city to another. In Holland, for example, showers are very clean, even the toilets, which are individualized and their cost does not exceed two euros. In other cities like Prague and some Italian, the quality is usually bad, so if you can avoid trying to swim there or sandals is that, sure, you will pull when you leave the bath.

Preferably, try to travel on numbered seat to rest and stretch your feet. No matter who is in second class (over age 30 can not buy tickets for second class, only the first).

Normally, if you travel alone or with another person, riding in a cabinet can be uncomfortable if there are four others in the group, as these will take over most of the space (I thought). Instead, a journey from Paris to Amsterdam in the second wagon, but in regular seats, I could almost lie down and sleep comfortably all night (until I woke up the tickets).
